Every spring or summer I make a trip to my grandparents gravesite and clean up any debris or overgrown grass and leave new decorations. One year while I was there I discovered my great grandfathers grave and each year I watched the growth of algea and lichens take over. When I learned how to clean his gravestone and how beautiful and renewed it looked, I became passionate about cleaning others. Caring for gravesites is my way of honoring and remembering those that walked this ground before me.
